Body and Bonnet The body is cast with uniform sections and generous radius fillets to prevent stress concentrations. The bonnet, Outside Screw and Yoke type, is fitted with a bonnet bush to guide the stem and provide a back seat when the valve is fully open and under pressure. The Body-Bonnet joint is circular in shape and of male-female type. Valves in 2" (50mm) size have a square configuration. Disc The ball type disc provides a fine bearing surface on the taper seat. For severe services which necessitate hard faced seats, a plug type disc can be provided. Body Seat Ring A forged shoulder type, threaded body seat ring with a wide taper area provides ample seating. The slots on the seat ring allow easy removal for servicing at site. Stem The precisely machined and ground finished stem is held to the disc by a disc stem nut, which permits the disc to swivel. This free floating design prevents undue wear of the seat surfaces. Stuffing Box The stuffing Box has a smooth surface finish with sufficient depth as required by the standards. This ensures leak tightness and extends the life of packing rings. ASME Class 300 and 600 valves can be supplied with a lantern ring arrangement on request.

Flange Drilling & Facing Finish Standard range of AIL flanged valves are finished with the end flanges faced, drilled and spot faced to the corresponding pressure class of ASME B16.5 RF. The standard finish offered on the raised face is 125-250 µ is Ra (AARH)- spiral serration. Operation All valves are provided with a steel/ductile iron/malleable iron handwheel for manual operation. Standards AIL Cast Steel Globe Valves conform to BS 1873 standard. They also meet the general requirements of API 600 including shell wall thickness and stuffing box dimensions.
